Read API
Access and keys
Sign in with your Acoustic Index account, tell us what you're building, and create your own revocable API keys the moment you're approved.
How access works
Three steps from sign-in to your first API key
The API itself is plain API key authentication. The only extra step is a one-time human approval, because the Read API is still in beta and we want to know who's using it.
1. Sign in
Use your normal Acoustic Index account. Everything from approval to key management lives there, so there's no second login to remember.
2. Request beta access
Tell us what you're building and roughly how much data you need. A human reviews each request, usually within a few days.
3. Create your keys
Once you're approved, generate as many keys as you like, right here on this page. Each secret is shown once, so copy it into your password manager straight away.
Sign in required
You need an account before you can create keys
Key management lives inside your Acoustic Index account. Sign in first, and you can request beta access and generate keys right from this page.
Why sign in first?
Your approval and your keys are attached to your account. Once approved, you can create, rotate, and revoke keys whenever you like, with no back-and-forth emails.
What about the API itself?
The API uses plain API key authentication. Approval only decides whether your account may create new keys. Existing keys keep working as long as they're not revoked or expired.
